Siren is a story about two teenage girls from the same clan in the world of Tambulai. One a princess who lives with her older sister, father and many servants in the centre of the clan, owning fine clothing and food. Another, an outcast, forgotten, living at the edge of the clan, with nothing but rags to wear and slowly dying without food.
But the Princess, Adelaide, is growing tired of life in the castle, and escapes while the other guests of her sister's party and celebrating. While the outcast, Chi, struggles to stay awake, longing to get away. Adelaide finds her on her way out, and helps her, they escape to Adelaide's nearby hut and stable, where they form a friendship and Chi is nursed by Adelaide.
Continuing on their journey, strange things begin to happen to the girls. Why can Adelaide turn into a wolf all of a sudden? And what really happened when Chi blanked out and came to her senses in a bloody ring of dead soldiers?
An argument tears them apart, Chi has figured out just what is giving her strength, and Adelaide begins to catch on. Chi leaves. And along comes the handsome Andrew. He befriends the sweet Adelaide and they continue on Adelaide's journey. Andrew meets another girl at night, while Adelaide sleeps, a girl with pure white hair who calls herself Ketsueki and has an unusual burden of care and affection towards Adelaide. Andrew and Ketsueki form trust, and a bond is formed... When Ketsueki bites into Andrews shoulder...
